Wednesday Night Activities
🗓️ We hope you'll make plans to join us for Wednesday Night Activities as we resume our normal routine on Wednesday, January 15, at 5:00pm. With dinner to feed the body and multiple classes for various age groups afterwards to nourish the soul, we think you'll find something for the whole family to enjoy. Rest assured that the extra time spent here studying God's word together as a church goes further than you might think in watering the seeds of His abundant harvest in our lives; and we are eagerly anticipating all that the Lord has in store for us in the weeks and months ahead. FAMILY DINNER 5:00-5:45PM
Things start off with dinner at 5:00pm, with different menu items rotating throughout the following months (be sure to check our website or app to find out what we'll be eating each night). As mentioned above, there will be classes for all ages afterwards for us to enjoy together. Many of these classes are new, some of which are specifically featured below; but we are equally as excited about what God is doing through each of them, and we hope you'll find a place to fit in with us as we continue to seek His presence and wisdom together, united as one body in Christ.
KIDS & YOUTH 6:00-7:30PM
Covenant Kids creates an environment that fosters connection and friendship with a focus on biblical discipleship. The kids learn bible stories, memorize scripture verses, and have a blast playing together. There are 5 classes: nursery (baby & toddler), preschool, girls K-3rd, girls 4th & 5th, and boys K-5th.
The Gathering is our weekly large group student worship service for 6th-12th graders. They typically meet downstairs, in the original building, for a fun and casual time of interactive games, praise and worship, large group study, and small group discussion. Over the year they have studied topics like: Books of the Bible, Manhood and Womanhood, Missions and World Religions, Relationships, Theology, Current Events, and several other topics.
IN HIS IMAGE WOMEN'S GROUP 6:00-7:30pm (Education Building)
Starting in January, we will be studying 10 ways God calls us to reflect His character. By exploring ten characteristics of who God is - holy, loving, just, good, merciful, gracious, faithful, patient, truthful, and wise - we will better be able to understand who God intends for us to be. Through Christ, the perfect reflection of the image of God, we will discover how God's own attributes impact how we live, leading to freedom and purpose as we follow His will and are conformed to His image.
This study is facilitated by Jenn Wiggins and Hannah Rogers and will follow the book In His Image by Jen Wilkin. Women are encouraged to join or bring a friend at any point during the study, our time together will include small groups for additional discussion and prayer. Purchase of the book is suggested but not required. https://a.co/d/4dVrUmq. This class will meet from 6:00-7:30pm in the Education Building.
1 CORINTHIANS WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY 6:00-7:30PM (Education Building)
“One of the most striking things about the Corinthian church was the degree to which worldly ideas and practices were accepted in the congregation. It is as if the boundaries of the church and the world had disappeared. It is vital that we think about grace, talk about grace, but sometimes we just need to see grace. We will watch an exasperated apostle talking to a rebellious and divisive church with tenderness and affection and with a faith that believes in the transformation that can only come from the power of the Spirit through Christ and the faithfulness of God.” -- Author, Andrew Wilson
Women’s Bible Study Book:
1 Corinthians For You by Andrew Wilson
The book is an optional purchase and the main assignment for each week is the read the sections that will be discussed for each week. This class will meet from 6:00-7:30pm in the Education Building.
